You have to admire how right wingers are so certain that their simplistic, 19th-Century program will save America. But it's precisely this unblinking certainty that the world as it exists has any relationship to the world as it looks in their fevered imaginataions of it that makes them so frightening:

I’m trying to think about how concerned I am about right wing craziness.

If we don’t come up with a plan, the world will create a plan for us and that will so not be pleasant.
What is worrying is not that they may “take back” the country. It’s the war rhetoric – defining anyone who does not agree with them as “the enemy” that has me concerned. Remember Oklahoma City?
The hard right has and eat or be eaten mentality, and so since it is not in a dominant position, it sees itself as threatened with extinction and with that comes a cornered-animal mindset. So they’re like belligerent drunks at a bar, and when asked to leave, they won’t go without first flipping a few tables and breaking some windows. So, JP, you’re right, they are not the future, but they still have a lot of potential to do some significant damage. They won’t go quietly.
